Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are pleased to report that the Biennial Alpha Conference held in Lisbon, Portugal, from 30 May to 02 June 2024 was a resounding success! We were thrilled to see so many familiar faces and equally delighted to welcome new ones.

Our international group of speakers shared their expertise, research, and opinions, sparking insightful discussions and fostering a spirit of collaboration. We also had the privilege of witnessing some of the groundbreaking work presented by many of you during the meeting.

For those who were able to join us, we hope you enjoyed the extraordinary collegiality that characterises Alpha events, and found the conference both enlightening and inspiring. Your presence and active participation contributed significantly to the success of this event.

To those who could not make it this time, we missed your presence and contribution. We understand that circumstances may not always allow us to be physically present, but we want you to know that you are an integral part of our society.

The conference was recorded and the recordings will be made available to all registered delegates soon. The ALPHA film, Global Voices in Embryology, will also be made available. Please check your emails and the website for the announcement.

Planning for the next Biennial Alpha Conference is already underway and we hope that those who could not join us this time will be able to attend in 2026. We assure you that it will be another enriching experience filled with learning, networking, and collaboration.
